According to Tracee Cornforth, every year more than one million people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year; she also says this is despite that a ton of people go to tanning salons regularly. She mentions the fact you are faced with more exposure to Ultraviolet A light and says, “In tanning salons are two or three times more powerful the UVA rays which occur naturally from the sun.” The first affect of sun poisoning can be initiated from the tanning beds, and increased with sun exposure. She also reports about the people who are at risk, such people include people with fair skin, blonde, red or light brown hair, light colored eyes, easily burned and outside a lot without tanning.
I personally think that by this article skin cancer is not directly caused by the tanning beds, but yet it is initiated and then reinforced by the sun with all of the UVA that is entering your body. I think it is ironic to how I fit the category of the people who are most at risk and yet I have never had any type of skin cancer, or a scare of skin cancer.
